Haul | Outlet Shopping

Today I went home back to Portsmouth, back to uni, (*sigh...*) but before I get back to the stresses of assignments and lectures I had one more day of the Christmas holidays to spend with my family! We decided to go to Gunwharf Quays, (which is around the corner from my flat) its a designer outlet so features some amazing designer brands at really affordable prices! I picked up a few items that I REALLY REALLY love, so I though why not do a quick haul?! (Who doesn't love a good haul!)

We went into The Perfume Shop first because I haven't bought myself a nice perfume in years. I went in completely overwhelmed because I honestly have no idea what's good nowadays in the way of perfume! I've always always wanted to buy myself a Chanel perfume (I mean, who doesn't want Chanel!) and it immediately caught my eye! I fell in LOVE with the scent of Chanel No. 5 perfume it just smells so classy so I just had to buy it! The notes are woody, musky and citrusy and together they make such a lovely classic, comforting smell! The intensity is medium, which I really don't mind, because I honestly think I would smell like my Grandma if it was any more intense, but it really does last all day! (I can still smell it on my wrist now, 6 hours later!) The lovely lady in the shop informed me that I've got the new style of perfume bottle which they have recently updated and honestly the bottle is GORGEOUS! All in all, I'm going to save a cherish this perfume like its my baby and I can't wait for a special occasion to wear it to!

The next stop was the White Company, I went in with the intention of buying a large candle because I have ALWAYS wanted one, since I saw their 'Winter' candle, unfortunately I couldn't find 'Winter' anywhere and the only large candles they had were 'Flowers' and 'Rose' which were too girly and sweet for my liking! I did however come across their 'Mustique' scent which has more of a masculine smell and is much more to my taste, they didn't this in the large candle though! So instead I bought the reed disfuser which is perfect for smelling up my tiny flat! On the label it says that the notes are cucumber and watermelon so you would expect it to be quite a fresh and summer-y scent but honestly it smells so masculine to me - and I don't hate it!

Next we went to The Cosmetics Company, again I didn't have much idea of what I wanted to buy mainly because you can never tell what's going to be in store so its always quite hit or miss! I immediately went over the Bobbi Brown stand because I've never owned anything from Bobbi Brown and now was my perfect chance! I came across this illuminating bronzing powder in the shade 'Tell U Ride' it has quite a pinky tinge so I will most likely be using it on my cheeks as a blusher. I obviously haven't used any Bobbi Brown products yet so I don't know if I'm going to fall in love with this product - but I've read from reviews that it lasts all day and goes on your skin really nicely so I really can't wait to try it!

Honestly, I was drawn to the packaging of this one and in my head I'd already bought the product without even looking at the colour or what the product was! (I'm such an impulse buyer) I've never even heard of Aerin but the Gold packaging is AMAZING (and it comes in a cute pink 'dust bag' - what more could you ask for?!) I picked up their 'Pretty Bronze Illuminating Powder' (yes, more bronzer!) but this is definitely more of a subtle bronze shade and from what I've read in reviews this is a really natural bronzer that is perfect for paler skin. (perfect for me haha!) I really can't wait to try this one because I always seem to apply too much bronzer and the one I'm using at the moment has way too much shimmer in...

I hope you enjoyed my quick haul! I really love reading other people's haul posts too, so if you've done a recent haul leave a link in the comments and I will have a read!

  1. I wanted to try reed diffuser for so long, but never find a nice scent that I liked. All were way to strong for me or too sweet, but this one sounds so good! x

  5. Chanel perfume? You grabbed a bargain! :D

I went to Bicester Village last summer for some bargains and I hated it so damn much. Was just so bloody busy and couldn't get into any shops. Don't know if I'll ever go again. :(
