Beauty Hacks

Lets be honest, we're all a bit lazy at times - it's human nature! We're always looking for little ways to make life that little bit easier! Being quite possibly one of the laziest people I know, I am constantly on the look out for beauty and life hacks, anything that can help me save money or get 5 extra minutes in bed and I am sold! So I have decided to compile a list of all of the beauty hacks I have come across over the years - some of these I now live by, so hopefully they'll help you out too when you're having a bit of a lazy spell!

1. Hold a spoon or a bank card on your eyelid when apply mascara to avoid smudges.
2. Use the round end of a bobby pin to push false lashes into place.
3. If you run out of eyeliner and need some desperately - you can dip a brush into mascara.
4. Dust translucent powder over your lipstick to make it look matte.
5. When applying bronzer you should put it on in the shape of a '3' (over your forehead, cheekbones and jawline)
6. Use concealer around your lips to give your lipstick a sharper edge.
7. When applying concealer under your eyes, apply it in a triangle shape for the best effect.
8. Heat your eyelash curler slightly with a hairdryer before curling your lashes to keep them curled for longer.
9. Apply a light shade of eyeshadow in the center of your lips to make them seem larger.
10. You can use concealer as eye primer if you don't have one.

11. If you don't have any dry shampoo talcum powder or translucent powder works just as well!
12. Spray bobby pins with hairspray to get them to stay in your hair.
13. To give the illusion of a thicker ponytail create 2 ponytails (one under the other) and hide the bottom one with the top.
14. You can use socks to curl your hair over night with no heat.
15. Use your nose as a guide for getting the perfect middle part.
16. Spray a toothbrush with hairspray to get rid of fly-aways.
17. Tip your hair forward to create the perfect messy bun.
18. You can use a sock instead of a hair doughnut.
19. Drink water to achieve shiny hair!
20. Always use a comb to brush through wet hair - never a brush.

21. Mix nail polish with loose powder to make it matte.
22. Dip your nails in cold water to dry them quicker.
23. Use tape across your nails to get the perfect french manicure.
24. Use a bobby pin instead of a dotting tool.
25. Roll the nail polish bottle between your hands before applying for better application.
26. Use a sponge to create an ombre effect on your nails.
27. Use a q-tip dipped in nail polish remover to get rid of nail polish around your nails.
28. Use white nail polish as a base coat to make colours look brighter.
29. Spray nonstick cooking spray on nails to dry them faster.
30. Loosen a stubborn nail polish lid by soaking it in hot water.

31. Use clear nail polish on a ladder in your tights to stop it from laddering any more.
32. To make a homemade lip scrub use vaseline and sugar.
33. You can use conditioner instead of shaving cream.
34. To soften your feet, cover them in vaseline and wear socks over them overnight.
35. Dry your hair with a t-shirt instead of a towel.
36. Apply a small amount of vaseline under perfume to make it last longer.
37. Use vaseline to tame eyebrows before plucking them.
38. You can use shaving cream to remove foundation stains from clothes.
39. When cleaning makeup brushes - tip them upside down and roll between your hands to keep their flufiness!
40. Spray your hairbrush with perfume to make your hair smell nice!
