My Pamper Evening

We all need a little down time every now and again. Particularly now that I am in my second year of uni, I feel like all the little stresses are beginning to take a toll on my stress levels and it's so important to get in a little pamper session at least once a week. Also, since my anxiety has decided to come back hard, I find a little 'me time' can be really helpful and relaxing on bad days.

The first step for me is always a bath, baths are just the ultimate relaxation for me, I can just soak and get away from all the stresses in life. I always use a Lush bubble bar, today I opted for the pink flamingo bubble bar (which I have reviewed here!) I am a huge fan of bubbles in my bath, and I always find that Lush is the most relaxing for me, with all the lovely smells and colours!

While my bath is running I'll take off my makeup using Soap and Glory's 'Peaches and Clean' to make sure that my face is all fresh and clean! I'll then stick on a face mask, lately I've been reaching for Origins 'Clear Improvement' because I love how this makes my skin feel once I've washed it off! Then I light a candle, and get ready to get in the bath.

Once in the bath I usually either watch Netflix or YouTube on my phone, if I choose Netflix I'll go for either Call The Midwife or a girly chick flick (anything light hearted!) and my YouTube watch later list is normally always full up, so I sometimes opt for that instead.

After I've been soaking for way too long, I'll freshen up using either Lush's 'Prince Charming' shower gel or Soap and Glory's 'Clean On Me' both of which smell AMAZING! In fact, I've been using 'Clean On Me' for years now as I love it so much (to the point where I actually have substitute bottles waiting when this one runs out..) I then shave my legs and use Soap and Glory's 'The Scrub Of Your Life' which, I know shaving legs and then using a scrub isn't recommended because it can sting, but I've never had any problems - and I mean if I'm going to shave my legs, I want them to be as smooth as possible! (Just go careful, if you're trying this for the first time and don't blame me if your legs end up bright red!)

I then get out of the bath, dry off, and the rub off my face mask - then usually spend around 10 minutes rubbing my face because it's so smooth! Then I'll make my way to the bedroom where I'll grab my favourite mosturiser of the moment Niveas Q10 body lotion and slather it all over my legs and arms (I actually own most of the Q10 collection so if I'm feeling it, I might also apply the oil or gel!) They are all brilliant for firming skin and getting rid of cellulite - so I try to use them religiously, but I must admit I always tend to forget to mosturise.

Next, I stick on a pair of comfy pyjamas and stick on the kettle to make a hot chocolate - with whipped cream of course! Me and my boyfriend then normally sit down to watch either Luther or The Walking Dead, both of which we are obsessed with at the moment! (And are probably not the most relaxing end to my night.. but whatever! haha!)

There you have it, I hope you enjoyed my short pamper evening post! Let me know what your pamper evening consists of in the comments below, also I'd love to know if you're obsessed with any series on Netflix, because I'm always looking for new things to watch!!

I also thought I would quickly mention that I am offering free advertisement on my blog for the months of March and April (There's only one spot left for March though!) just to see how things go on that front! Please click here to find out more information on packages etc. I'd love to know if this is something you're interested in!
