Haul | Recent Purchases

So I've made a few purchases recently, with my non-existent money... It's actually been so so long
since I actually went out shopping, instead of doing it all online from the comfort of my own bed. In fact it's been so so long since I went shopping at all - you know, being a poor student and all! But I was lucky enough to be treated by my lovely Mum and boyfriend recently so I could make a few sneaky purchases over the month - I must have been very well behaved haha! So, I thought I would do a quick haul for you guys!

The first few picks are from when my Mum came to visit me in Portsmouth (you can read about that day here) and of course we made a sneaky trip to Lush. (I actually had to push my boyfriend and brother in, as they were both refusing..!) They've just recently brought out their Easter range so I was more than excited to try it all out and give it all a good sniff! Obviously the first thing I was drawn to was their Golden Egg, which is quite possibly the most glittery thing I have ever seen or touched! The Golden Egg is actually a bath melt, which I've never really tried in the past - but lets be honest, anything with glitter floats my boat so I'm sure I'll really love this one! Also, it smells of toffee, which on paper sounds a little bit weird (I don't know about you but when I think of baths I think of florals and citrusy smells - toffee doesn't really come to mind!) but it actually smells so so good and I really can't wait to give it a go! Be warned though - if you give this one a sniff in the shop, you will definitely leave with a glittery nose... and everything else!

I was also drawn to their Bunch Of Carrots reusable bubble bars -  I mean, how cute are these!?  I also love how they now come in three different colours (because in the past I believe they were all orange) but I mean, come on - who doesn't want a pink carrot bath?! Yes, I've already used them a few times by the way!! - I will actually be doing a Lush Easter review of the few products that I have tried, which I will be posting on this blog soon - so if you're interested in the new range look out for that one!

We couldn't go around town without popping into Primark (which had a surprising lack of nice pyjamas - much to our dismay! *sad face* ) But my Mum did convince me to pick up this flow-y jacket/cardigan that I have been eyeing up for so so many months now! The colours and fit are totally up my street - anything black and grey and loose fitting is completely my style! And to be honest, I don't own a lot of cardigans that I can just throw on, so this will definitely become a staple item in my wardrobe!

Me and my boyfriend also made a quick trip to Southampton in the week, as it was a nice day and there's barely anything to do here in Portsmouth! It honestly started off as just a browse until we went into Lush and I realised that they had a few bits that aren't in my local store! I ended up picking up Flowering Tea which is a tea bag shaped bubble bar - I've seen this one before on the Lush website and was quite intrigued, but after smelling it I knew I had to have it! The scent is so floral-y and quite strong that I was so drawn to it and also, I've just found out that it's actually filled with petals, which makes me even more excited to try it! I've never been the biggest fan of tea, but I know I am going to love this so so much!

I also picked up Brightside which is another reusable bubble bar (I love my bubbles..!) I'm always drawn to the big bubble bars because they tend to last me around 3-4 baths, so I always try to have one in my stockpile if I'm ever running low! (I LOVE Bright Skies and Fluffy White Clouds - that's a huge favourite!) This one smells absolutely amazing - if you're into citrus this is definitely up your street! I really can't wait to try this one as I've been eyeing it up for a while now, but was too absorbed in the more pretty bubble bars (like all of the Valentines stuff) to go for a more basic one like this.

After a dangerous trip into the Disney store, and eyeing up every mug I set my eyes on... (I actually managed to have some self control!) we ended up in a shop called Harper and Lewis which is a vintage clothing store that I've never actually heard of before. However, I believe you can actually find them on ASOS - this is great news for me! The shop was only tiny, but as soon as I started looking at a few bits I realised that all of the stuff was completely up my street and was basically my style all rolled into one! Honestly, if I had more time and money I could've gone completely nuts in there - there were so many bits that I was sad to put back! *sad face* But I did manage to convince myself to buy two staple pieces for my wardrobe. The first being, a simple black and white striped tee dress. I've had one of these in the past (a long long time ago) but since becoming a student and putting on a litttttle bit of weight, it is no longer flattering. I actually picked this dress up in a size bigger than I am, because I prefer the look of oversized clothing on me - and after trying it on, I love it to bits, mainly because it's so so comfortable, but you look like you at least made an effort a little bit.. ! It's perfect for wearing with leggings and tights, which I pretty much live in, so I will be wearing this non-stop no doubt.

I also picked up a greenish/greyish knitted jumper with elbow patches! I've been on the hunt for a jumper like this, for what seems like years! I've always loved the elbow patch trend and obviously, as you know I love anything oversized - so this is honestly perfect for me! The jumper is a little shorter than I was expecting and I probably would've gotten it in a size up (if I had had the chance to try it on) but it will still be perfect for wearing with shorts or jeans - and I really can't wait to lounge about in it!

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this little haul! Let me know if you enjoyed and I will do more like this in the future. (Can you hear the sound of my bank account screaming...?!) Also, I will be posting that Lush Easter review soon, so if that's something you're interested in, pop back soon! Thanks for reading!
