March Favourites

If feel like every time I do a monthly favourites post I always talk about how fast the month has gone, but it honestly feels like yesterday that I was writing the February post!! March has been such a good month, with my birthday, finishing Uni and Easter all rolled into one - it's actually been quite a busy month, and although I do sometimes love to relax and take it easy it was nice to actually get up and do things! The weather is also starting to pick up which I am so excited about, I can't wait for more sunny walks and sunglasses and ice creams! As usual, I left writing this post to the very last minute, but I hope you enjoy!!

BEAUTY FAVOURITES

1. Rimmel - Match Perfection (Ivory)
Now, this foundation was actually a huge favourite of mine a while ago and I have mentioned it before on the blog, that was until I started using Rimmel Lasting Finish - there isn't too too much of a difference between the two, but I feel like the shade I had with the Lasting Finish version was quite off and didn't suit my skin tone at all. Anyway, I rediscovered this when my Mum accidentally bought if for me for my birthday (long story, but she thought it was concealer... she's going to hate that I told you that!) but I was actually quite glad because I got to rediscover this foundation AND it was in a better shade (paler, of course!) for my skin tone and I feel like I've pretty much got my skin tone spot on with this shade now!

2. Lush - Sunflower (Oxford Street Exclusive) Bubble Bar
If you read my recent Lush haul you'll know that I went to the Lush Oxford Street store for the first time and I now pretty much want to live there, you'll also know that I picked up 2 Oxford Street exclusive bubble bars - including Sunflower. Now that I've actually used this bubble bar a few times (no honestly, I haven't really used anything else!) I wish I had stocked up!! The scent that it gives off in the bath is so so fresh and is pretty much spot on with what I love in a Lush bath product, I also pretty much only used 2 petals and the amount of bubbles it made is crazy - I am so glad about this considering I won't be going back to Oxford Street for a while now! Anyways, I will be doing a full review of this product in the near future, so if you're interested in that come back soon!

3. Sleek - Contour Kit
My last beauty product is one that I've had for a pretty long time now, but I've never really played around with it. Anyway, I pulled it out of my makeup bag earlier this month and gave it a go and now I pretty much use it to contour my face with any makeup look. I've found that using this Sleek palette with my Nars Ita brush to contour my face is perfect - it gives you natural looking chiseled cheeks, but the product is also easily build-able if you want a more dramatic look!

BLOGGING FAVOURITES

March marked the first month that I was offering advertisement on my blog, and I am so happy with the way it went - I have had multiple positive reviews from fellow bloggers and a few are looking to advertise again with me! If you are interested in advertising with me yourself you can click here to see what packages and months are still available!

As part of 2 of the packages my lovely advertisers get a mention in my monthly favourites, so these are some of the gorgeous bloggers who chose to advertise with me this month with links to all their blogs, be sure to check them all out as they are all very lovely and their posts are top notch!

OTHER FAVOURITES

1. Urban Outfitters - Mug
If you know me well, you know that I have a bit of a mug obsession - any mug that is huge and has a cute pattern or quote on it is mine - in fact, we've recently had to clear out all of the plain mugs out of the cupboard because I've seemed to gather a huge amount of mugs this month!! (I need to do a mug collection post.. is that a thing?!) Although it was difficult to choose my favourite for this post, I settled on this one from Urban Outfitters (I also have the blue with with pattern one, for any of you wondering) I am obsessed with Urban Outfitters home range, because it all seems to suit my exact taste! And when I saw this mug, I had pretty much already bought it in my mind (actually, my Mum bought it for me as a birthday present - you can see what else I got for my birthday by clicking here!) it's just so gorgeous with the cute little pattern, it's sort of an oatmeal-y colour too, which I love! Also, it's huge, which is perfect for the amount of coffee that I drink!

2. Firmoo - Sunglasses
One thing I really love about spring is the weather! It's finally picked up over here in the UK and we can now finally see the sun again - this means wearing sunglasses at all costs (which is great when you're lazy like me and don't want to do your makeup!) So when Firmoo contacted me and asked if I wanted to review a pair of their glasses I jumped at the opportunity, it was actually my first ever review post that I've ever done for a company, but I feel like it went quite well and obviously I fell in love with the sunglasses and I didn't really have a bad word to say about them or the company - so that's good! If you want to read that review post, for a more in depth review of the sunglasses themselves, you can click here!

3. My new phone - Sony Xperia Z3
As I said in my birthday haul I'm not very good at talking tech-y, but I couldn't really do a monthly favourites post without mentioning my new phone - since I haven't really taken my eyes off of it all month!! As you will know, if you read my birthday haul post, I actually got this new phone from my Dad for my birthday, after I managed to break my old one (I'm a huge clutz when it comes to phones and all things tech) but I am so in love with this phone at the moment, and I've actually just ordered a really cute polka dot case for it - which I really wanted to arrive before I did this post, so I could include it! Maybe I should do a 'What's On My Phone' post? Let me know if that's something you'd like to see, and I might just make it happen!

4. My amazing week home - featuring Little Mix and Mamma Mia!
So, I went home for my birthday in March for just over a week, and in those 2 weeks I managed to go to both Mamma Mia in London and Little Mix in Bournemouth, both were such amazing shows, so I definitely had to talk about them in my favourites! I went to watch Mamma Mia with my Mum, it was at the Novello Theatre in London so we made a whole trip about it and also went shopping in London the following day - it was a great weekend! The show was absolutely amazing, with us both being Abba and Mamma Mia fans we both sang along to every song and probably annoyed everyone around us! Honestly, if you've never seen Mamma Mia the film, I highly recommend it - the story line is so good and I really feel like it's everyones cup of tea (especially if you like Abba!)  Little Mix was also amazing, for those of you who aren't huge Little Mix fans, it was for their Get Weird Tour - I went with my little sister Alanna (who is Little Mix obsessed) and my Dad (who isn't..!) As always, the girls put on an amazing show and they all sound so so good live! I have to say, as someone who wishes they didn't quit dance, I was so mesmerized by all the costumes and choreography and it really made me want to get back into dancing! P.S All of my fellow Little Mix fans, what is your favourite song from the Get Weird Album!? Mine is either Secret Love Song or Lightning, but to be honest, I do love them all!!

    1. It's actually a powder, but I tend to prefer powders since I always seem to apply way to much with cream products and I can never blend it in!! Omg! I will definitely be watching that one (I'm already subscribed! hehe ) - I am so so glad you like it! Yes! Big sunglasses are where it's at! I'm so happy the weather is picking up now because I live for sunglasses! No problem lovely - you deserve a huge mention because you're always so lovely! :) x

  9. Ah nice! I've got the seventeen powder contour kit which is my favourite! I recently got the new Loreal infallible sculpt contour kit which I'm trying out and then may or may not write a review for it, I'm not too sure with it I don't think it does much to my skin! But yes definitely agree powders are easier because then if you go wrong it's a bit easier to get off too! & Aww yay!!! I love sunglasses so much but I've never gone all out and treated myself to expensive ones but I think I might get a really nice pair soon, I just get too scared I'll sit on them or something stupid! Haha! Aww thank you, that's so sweet of you to say! Lots of love!

    1. I've wanted to try the Loreal contour kit - I almost bought it the other day, wish I had to be honest! I'd definitely read that review!! I've never really bought an overly expensive pair of sunglasses either, for the same reason - I'm so clumsy when it comes to my things!! x
