Review | Lush Easter Collection

So Easter is fast approaching, and that can only mean one thing - chocolate! (Now that I'm thinking about it every occasion has chocolate involved, in one way or another... not that I'm complaining) But no really, Easter is on it's way and however you celebrate it, I feel like Easter is a great time for spending time with family and friends, and surrounding yourself with the people you love! Being at Uni, I don't get many opportunities to go home but we actually get time off at Easter (student win!) so I will actually be going home for Easter and I really can't wait!

Easter is also a great time for Lush. They always bring out some really really amazing bits at Easter time - I feel like there are so many cute bath bombs and bubble bars at Easter! As you will know if you read my latest haul, I picked up a few little bits from the range and I thought I would do a little review for you guys! This is by no means the entire collection, just a few of the bits I have picked out - but if you want to go and shop the whole collection (which I highly recommend as there are so many gorgeous products this year!) you can click here (after you've read this post!!) I thought I would put this post up sooner rather than later, so the range is still available (because it is limited edition.)

The first product I was immediately drawn to were the 'Bunch Of Carrots' bubble bars! Now, you know I love a good bubble bar and as this comes in a set of 3 I was so so excited about them! They come in the cutest colours, which I believe is a new touch to these bubble bars as in the past I think they used to all be orange - but who doesn't love a pink carrot!? When I first tried one of these I was getting very frustrated because it wasn't breaking up in my hand like a normal bubble bar - turns out I was just being silly as you are actually suppose to just hold the carrot under the tap (like Pink Flamingo) which creates so so many bubbles and lasts for AGES - You could genuinely squeeze out 9 baths out of these 3 if you were feeling stingy! The smell is so amazing too, I believe the scent is lemon and grapefruit which are such fresh smells - exactly what I love in a good bath! And obviously you can get 3 different types of bath out of this bunch with the 3 different colours (I do whoever not recommend mixing the colours as I mixed orange and purple and got a weird apple juice coloured bath that wasn't very pleasant!) They are quite basic, there isn't any glitter or anything special but overall, I am in love with these bubble bars and I will be stocking up before Easter is over!

Now, I normally tend to stray away from anything that doesn't promise bubbles because I don't normally get on with bath bombs - It's probably just me, but I tend to get really sticky when I use bath bombs!! But I must admit the Golden Egg did catch my eye right away, it's super glittery so I mean, what's not to love?! The Golden Egg is a bath melt, which is something I had never tried before. But I heard that bath melts are so good for feeling all silky smooth which I desperately needed after drying out this winter! Also, the scent is toffee, which reminded me of the Christmas range (which I adored!) so I decided to give it a go! The Golden Egg did make the bath water (and the bath!) very glittery which is always fun - but it did turn the bath water a strange yellowy green colour, which isn't really the most flattering colour! When I got in the bath I could really feel the cocoa butter and olive oil working and I did feel really silky and smooth, but to be honest the longer I spent in there the more slimy I felt and slimy isn't really the best feeling in the world! (Also, if you accidentally dunk your hair in the bath, I highly recommend washing it! I didn't.. and my hair went super greasy!!) So, overall I recomend this bath melt to anyone who wants a really deep mosturise - but if you're not a fan of feeling a bit slimy then I'd stay away from this one!!

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this quick review! Let me know you're favourite bits from the range if you have already tried them, or let me know which bits are on your wish list this Easter!!
