Haul | Huge Shopping Spree

I had a lot of birthday money left over, and I haven't had a really good shopping spree for what feels like years - so I thought it was about time that I had a proper slurge and actually spent my money on things that I want, rather than on food and coffees like I usually would! I actually had a really busy week, since I had spent a week at my Mum's for my birthday, and then only had 4 days home before I go back to my Mum's for Easter - but we obviously managed to squeeze a quick shopping trip in there! So we (me and my boyfriend.. who I was already dragging along at this point haha!) popped along to Southampton to spend all my money!! (Also, apologies for the poor picture quality, I only had one day free to take the pictures and it was already getting dark - so they were sort of rushed.. oops!)

The first thing that I want to talk about is quite possibly my favourite thing that I picked up - which I didn't actually manage to get a good picture of, or find online (come on Jemma!!) is my new back pack from Urban Outfitters! I actually picked this one up from the little sale section that they have, now I don't normally venture into the sale section purely because it's so cramped and usually busy in there so I tend to hate it - but when I found this back pack I knew it was worth it haha! I can't remember the exact price but it was around £25 reduced from £50 so I couldn't not grab it! I'm personally really loving the back pack trend at the moment and I actually have a few from Primark, but none of them can really fit a lot in them and this one is so much bigger (and nicer - shh!) so I am so excited to get so much use out of it - I know I will use it all through my third year of uni because it's perfect for fitting notebooks and uni stuff! It's also a gorgeous brown colour which goes with pretty much everything - I also own a lot of beige coats and I find those two colours go perfect together, BONUS!

We obviously had to pop into the Paper Chase since I am absolutely obsessed with that place... I feel like I really embraced adult hood in that shop, as I finally decided it was time to start a card collection! My mum has kept a card collection for quite a few years now, and I always find myself going through her little box in a hurry trying to find a birthday card for that person I forgot about.. (Even though I'm technically an adult, I haven't quite mastered it yet, okay!!) and Paperchase has so many cute and funny ones, I thought it was about time that I made my own collection! The only thing I need now is something to put them all in, so if anyone could point me in the right direction of cute boxes - that would be appreciated! In the future, once I've got myself a bigger collection let me know if you'd like a card collection! I don't know if that's a thing people do... or if anyone would be interested in, but let me know!

If you know me, you know that I have a pretty unhealthy mug obsession (I feel like this is all I ever talk about at the moment..?!) So I deffinitely knew that I wanted to stop off at Urban Outfitters just to pick up the other half of my favourite mug (I mentioned the other mug in this post - if you're interested!) so now I have the whole set, and that makes me a very happy mug enthusiast (?!) I also obviously had to stop off at the Disney Store, and as the only person over 9 years old in the store I actually refrained from looking at anything other than the mugs.. I almost picked up the Belle mug (which I really wish I had!) but ended up going for this Minnie Mouse one, which I am in love with! As you can tell I am a lover of huge mugs so if you know anywhere that I can buy big mugs - preferably that are cute - let me know!! Not that I already have so many more than I will ever need...

I go to Hollister maybe around twice a year and it's always for the same reason, to get the very same body spray I have been using for around 5 years now.. I usually only get the blue one but I decided to go for the 2 for £12 option, as I know it won't last me very long... (also there isn't a Hollister in Portsmouth - boo!) They've also changed the packaging for these bottles so it took me a good minute to actually figure out which one I used to get -  personally I prefer the older packaging, but I mean, I only ever buy it for the scent which I LOVE (clearly!) so I don't mind too too much!

As a self proclaimed lazy person and also a poor student who can't afford the Nars alternatives, I've wanted these Soap and Glory cheek sticks since I first saw them come out! I actually picked mine up in the Wonder Bronze (bronzer) and Love At First Blush (blusher) versions.. which I am slightly gutted about - I think I meant to pick up the Glow All Out (highlight) one too, but for some reason I didn't!! - I'm definitely more of a highlight girl than a blusher girl, in fact I usually tend to skip blusher completely! Anyways. I am still glad I grabbed these, especially the bronzer, which makes contouring so much more easier - just stick it on a blend! The colours are also gorgeous, the Love At First Blush one comes in the shade 'Pink, Pop and Pearl' which reminds me so much of Nars Orgasm - so if you're looking for a good dupe, look no further!

Obviously I couldn't go shopping without popping into Lush and restocking my Lush collection (it was getting pretty low!) I came out with these 3 cuties (which I have yet to try - so if you want a full review, that will probably be coming in the near future!) The huge blue one is called Blue Skies and Fluffy White Clouds, I mean, how cute is that! I've tried Brightside - which is a very similar bubble bar (just with a citrus-y scent) so I am very excited to try this one. The pink one with the pink flower in the middle is Creamy Candy, which again - is an amazing name.. this one smells really vanilla-y and candyfloss-y which I am quite a fan of, especially when we start getting into spring and summer! The last little one is called Pop In The Bath - this one is quite a zesty smell which I love (and would probably say is one of my favourite scents when it comes to baths!) I really can't wait to use all of these when I get home! It's going to be a very difficult task trying to decide which one to use!

One of my goals for this year is to drink more water. I never ever drink enough water and end up getting really horrible headaches in the evenings as a result! So, recently I've downloaded an app that helps me to track how much water I've been drinking that day and it also reminds me to drink throughout the day (if you want to download it, it's called Hydro Coach!) so to go along with this new goal and to keep me motivated to drink more water I bought myself this gorgeous water bottle from Paperchase! So far it's really helped me to drink way more! (in fact I went way over my target on the first day I bought it haha!) I also cant wait to use this when I work out on my cross trainer, because of the lid, I feel like it'll be a great workout water bottle!

  7. Aw! These cards are so lovely. If you like body mists, make sure you check some from Victoria Secret too. I have been using the one called Pure Seduction and its scent is enchanting.

  10. Going on a good shopping spree is always justified in my eyes, and you definitely deserved one! And as if these pictures are not your best, they are really lovely! I really wish I had an Urban Outfitters near me because I know I'd buy things like the backpack you picked up, all of the time, ha! I think a card collection would be a really fun and unique post idea, definitely something I'd read, so give it a go if you want to.
    Loved this haul!

    1. Haha! Thanks so much lovely!! I'm quite lucky since the Urban Outfitters is close enough that I can get there if I want to, but not just down the road so that I'll be constantly spending my money there.. because I definitely would too - especially on all their homeware bits! Thanks so much! I will most likely be doing a card collection!! :) X
