Smoothies are perfect way to introduce yourself to a healthier mind and body, not only do they have so many health benefits but they are also super delicious and refreshing on a hot summers day! I've been trying to incorporate more smoothies into my diet recently since I've been drinking way to much coffee for my own good and I wanted a delicious alternative to usual cuppa! I thought I would share with you guys 3 of my favourite smoothie recipes so that you can make my go-to smoothies at home - all 3 are super easy and require hardly any ingredients, so you can make them all for cheap! Obviously I know that they aren't right at the top of the healthy scale but proper healthy smoothies are just not for me.. I just need a BIT of sugar, you know! Let me know if you try any of these yourselves and also share any of your favourite recipes in the comments - I would love to try some new smoothies out!
You will need: • A handful of strawberries • A handful of sliced bananas • Milk • Natural yogurt |
I love using strawberries in my smoothies since they contain so many vitamins and minerals that are so beneficial to your overall health and they also happen to taste delicious - BONUS! Bananas are great in any smoothie really and are perfect as a basis for creating a new smoothie recipe since they go with pretty much anything and are also packed full of potassium! If you would like you smoothie to be extra refreshing on a cold day then first freeze your fruit in a zip-lock bag overnight! Then pop your strawberries, sliced banana, milk and yogurt into the blender and blend away! Add more yogurt for a thicker smoothie and add more milk for a less thick smoothie - depending on what you like best! If you prefer a less milky tasting smoothie then go for a dash of squash instead - I definitely recommend summer fruits or strawberry and kiwi, top up with a dash of cold water and blend! Don't forget to garnish with fresh strawberry - cut a slit down the middle and pop it onto the side of your glass, PERFECT!

TROPICAL GETAWAY! | MANGO, PINEAPPLE AND BANANA
You will need: • A handful of pineapple chunks • 1 chopped mango • 1 sliced banana • Natural yogurt • Milk |
This one is definitely my favourite on a warm day, I absolutely love tropical flavours during the summer time because not only are they super delicious but I can also just close my eyes and be transported to a tropical island somewhere - not in overcast England, haha! This is definitely one that I love to sit out on the balcony with and soak up the rays with a good book! Mango is one of the most consumed fruits in the world apparently and I can honestly see why - mango is super tasty after all and also holds so many health benefits which is why it is perfect for our smoothie! Once you have all your fruits chopped (and frozen if you prefer your smoothie extra cold and refreshing!) pop all the fruit into your blender and then add the yogurt and milk... blend away! To garnish cut a pineapple chunk or even a mango slice down the middle and pop it onto the side of your glass! Top with a cocktail umbrella, get out i n the gorgeous sunshine and you're on holiday in the tropics! I unfotunately couldn't find a cocktail umbrella anywhere - looks like I'm staying in overcast UK!

DeleteMy boyfriend and I recently got a Ninja blender and I've been addicted to making my own smoothies! You can't go wrong with a good strawberry and banana, but my favorite has to be apples, bananas, peanut butter, vanilla almond milk, strawberries and blueberries. I throw in a few chia seeds and top it with some wheat germ! Ughhh, heaven!
