We All Need A Little Me Time

Now, we all know I love a good pamper sesh and I honestly feel like I've written quite a few posts about pampering in the past!! To be honest though I've been a bit stressed and anxious recently, so I've got pampering on the mind and it really has been a great way of de-stressing and returning back to normal a bit and since I'm almost done with my last uni assignment and life has been a bit up and down, I've found at-home pampering to be a great escape! So I thought today's post could be all about these at-home pamper tips (for cheap!) that I like to use to really give myself some well-deserved me time, since we all need a little distraction from stresses every now and again!

AT-HOME SPA?! // This is probably the easiest option for at-home pampering and I always find this to be a great way of relaxing after a hard working day! Dim the lights, light some gorgeous smelling candles, stick on some relaxing music and run yourself a bath or, if you're rushed for time, even just have a hot shower - honestly the most relaxing shower I have ever had in my life, you should try this if you haven't already! Who needs to go out to a spa?! Bring the spa to your home! Also, top tip - this at-home spa goes perfectly with a glass of wine! *wink*

SOAK THOSE ACHY FEET // I am prone to getting achy feet after a long busy day, so this is a pamper method that I am fairly accustomed to - I also tend to have dry or cracked feet which is never a good look, especially now that we're getting into sandal season, so I'll be using this hack a lot in the coming months! Just fill your bath 1/4 of the way full with hot water and either add in some bath salts or you can go for a more natural soak if you're up for some DIY - there are plenty of tutorials all over the internet for this! Then just sit there for as long as you like, I normally like to listen to some relaxing music or watch a YouTube video! After a foot soak I like to scrub and mosturise my feet and sometimes I even throw in a cheeky pedicure!

NICE NAILS! // It's so easy to go out and get your nails done by a professional, but sometimes an at-home manicure can be just as good - and for half the price! Instead, treat yourself to a good quality nail polish, even if you end up spending just as much as you would at the salon because at least you get to use it again and again! Then fully relax by mosturising your hands and giving yourself a 'no rush' manicure - because personally, every time I paint my nails I always tend to rush it and never fully enjoy the experience!

RE-FRESH YOUR FACE // Sometimes an at-home pamper session only needs to consist of one thing - a good face mask! I always find that whenever I pamper my face with a good old face mask it's just what I need to de-stress and relax! You could even get really fancy and create your own face mask if you like beauty DIY - some of my favourites are bananas, yogurt or honey!! Trust me, they all sound a bit mad, but your skin will thank you afterwards! Pop your face mask on while you watch your favourite show on Netflix or catch up on YouTube videos and you've got the perfect relaxation session!

MMM.. MASSAGE! // Now we all know that massages are not cheap, but the are probably one of my favourite ways of pampering myself, so if you can't find an amazing deal on Groupon grab a friend or your partner and massage each other!! Not only do you both get an amazing massage but it's also a great time to have a chat and catch up with each other - I feel like a lot of time we tend to have our heads in our phones even when we are spending time with our friends (let's face it, we're all culprits of this!) so I find this to be a fantastic way of really talking and listening to each other!

HAPPY HAIR // One super easy way to pamper yourself is to deep condition your hair with a hair masque, its such a simple way of relaxing but it's also something that we don't usually have time to do that often, so it's still a treat no doubt! I usually like to stick a hair mask into my damp hair for around 30 minutes while I paint my nails or watch YouTube (when do I not watch YouTube?!) and then once I wash it out my hair feels incredible, it's leaves your hair so soft and smells amazing too! You can click here to see my favourite hair masque, which is the one I've been using to pamper myself this month!

THE BEST COMBINATION - WINE AND A MOVIE // My absolute favourite way to wind down after a long day and pamper myself without really having to put much effort in at all is definitely to grab myself a big old glass of wine and stick on my favourite movie! This is also a great way of pampering with friends or with your partner as you can all enjoy yourself and relax together! For best results I definitely recommend a chick flick or rom-com, namley Mean Girls or Bridget Jones!!
