Review | Fortune Favours The Brave Palette

Here I am with the review I promised... a while ago now.. in my May Favourites post! - Better late than never am I right!.. To be honest this palette is so gorgeous I couldn't not do a review! Makeup Revolution has definitely been one of my favourites brands recently and I'm sure they will slowly take over my makeup collection, not that I'm complaining - I mean who wouldn't love that high end look and quality for such an affordable price tag! This palette designed by fellow blogger Jane Cunningham, aka British Beauty Blogger particularly caught my eye the second I saw it! To be honest lot of you have probably seen this palette floating around twitter or a few beauty blogs.. since everyone knows all beauty bloggers love pretty things and this palette is beyond pretty. haha! Honestly, the second I saw it I HAD to have it, everything about this palette, the variety of colours, the pigment, the different textures and the gorgeous packaging just had me sold and I knew that it had to be mine!

Within the 30 shades ranging from matte to shimmer to baked there is definitely something for everyone, you can go from a natural brown base shade to an 'out there' blue depending on your mood and you can definitely change it up day to day or season to season whether you're feeling a more subtle natural look or a full on smokey eye! Personally, I tend to stick to the same boring nudes or purples so this palette has 100% inspired me to try out new shades and looks since it's so much fun to experiment and play around with! Also *calling all lazy people like me!!* the fact that you can achieve an entire eyeshadow look including base shades, transition shades and even an eyebrow highlight from just this one palette is perfect... no more messing about with loads of different palettes! (Why does this sound like I'm advertising an 'as seen on TV' product.. oh god!!?)

The packaging is also gorgeous as ever, the simple matte gold gives this product a high end feel but for such an affordable price, I mean come on what is there not to love! Then, when you open up the box it really is breath-taking, (as sad as that sounds.. I mean it's eyeshadow but still, haha!) the colours all compliment each other so well and look so gorgeous all together in one place! This palette also includes a brush if that's your thing, personally I like to use my own brushes as I tend to find that I can achieve more pigment with higher quality brushes - but I'm still glad that a brush was included, in case I'm ever in a pinch and need a brush pronto!

The pigment of each shade is also amazing, the only issues being with the lighter shades however this is probably due to my crazy pale skin, haha! Each shade is also easily bendable which is something I definitely looks for in a palette, since I'm not the most skilled eyeshadow 'putter oner' (haha?!) so this makes it a lot more easier to apply and create a gorgeous look! One thing that I also love doing is wetting my brush to create a more metallic shade - this works so well with the baked eye shadows and is something I've seen recommended by a lot of blogger who review this palette!

I was immediately drawn to this eyeshadow palette for the more neutral shades as I actually lack a good base colour that works with my skin tone, however a mixture Creme and Buffer seem to work wonders as a neutral base, so they've definitely become 2 of my most used colours in this palette! Another one of my favourites is most definitely Drama Queen, as I said I'm a huge fan of purples at the moment and I just love how berry toned this one is - the colour is just gorgeous and I really can't wait till Autumn when I can wear this shade to it's full potential! The baked tones are also the most beautiful baked eye shadows I've ever seen, particularly Golden Coins which is a lovely golden bronze shade is a huge favourite of mine and also Super Gold which is a true metallic looking gold shade - so if you're into more rich metallic shades I recommend checking out this gorgeous little palette!
