Lush Christmas 2016

So, I had a bit of a Lush splurge... Christmas is by far my favourite range that Lush brings out, as I am sure it is for a lot of you out there! And so every year I go out and I spend a littttle bit too much in Lush, but it's okay because I love it all and I love having baths in Autumn/Winter and gah! I must admit I went a little overboard this year, but they have so many cute things and I can't wait to use them all and feel super festive again!! (Is it too early for that... nah!) I actually went shopping with my Mum which was lovely, we obviously ended up in Lush and it made me feel so festive because one of the ladies in there used all the Snow Fairy products on my hands (including the new Snow Fairy body conditioner - which is amazing by the way, espeically if you want a more subtle smelling version of Snow Fairy, since it isn't quite as sickly sweet as the shower gel.. I didn't actually pick this one up though as I had already done enough damage, but I might just have to go and get it before Christmas is over!) I wanted to just pick up a few bits, but well that didn't really happen - but I've justified it because I had to throw away a load of old bath bombs that were lost to water damage. I don't know what it is about my new bathroom or shower, but I'm storing all my lush bits in exactly the same way and they're all going crumbly and weird, so I'm definitely going to start storing them in my bedroom instead where they are safe! I also missed my local Lush Christmas launch because of work so I treated myself to a few festive bits! Also, I know this is super early to be getting festive and talking about Christmas.. I mean it is October at the end of the day, so if you're not feeling Christmas-y enough just yet they you can click here to see what I recently got from the Halloween range (and a few other online exclusives!) since Halloween is just around the corner and Sparkly Pumpkin is just amazing, seriously if you haven't smelt it already.. you just have to!

*Just so you know, I only picked up a selection of the bubble bars in the collection, since these are the bits I love the most - this is definitely not the full collection, you can click here to see everything including, bath bombs, soaps and more!

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar // Every year I always say that this is one of my favourite bubble bars from the Christmas range, the scent always reminds me of Christmas because I do tend to re-purchase this one a few times during the Christmas season! Now, if you're not a fan of sickly-sweet, candy scented Lush products similar to The Comforter and Snow Fairy, then you're probably not going to love this one too much... (although to be fair, I'm definitely not a fan of The Comforter and I do obviously have a soft-side for Candy Mountain so I definitely suggest going and smelling it even if you're not a big sweet-fan!) With scents of candyfloss and vanilla this one is a hit for sweet-lovers who want to smell sugary sweet like a big stick of fluffy candyfloss, haha! I will say though that it does have a creamy hint to it, which I think makes it more of a bearable sweet smell. It also turns your bath water bright pink which adds to the cute, girly vibe and it obviously leaves your skin feeling nourished and moisturised as with all Lush products! Being a bubble bar the best thing to do with this little mountain is to break it in half and crumble it under running water (add the other half if needed, but I can usually get 2 baths out of this one!) it should create gorgeous candy smelling bubbles to make your bath super sweet!

The Christmas Penguin Bubble Bar // This little guy has been brought back out for 2016 and how freaking adorable is he?! ... I just spent way too long obsessing over how cute this little thing is... He was actually around in 2014 I believe, but has now been brought back and that makes me so excited! This little bubble bar is very citrus-y which I very much love as a fresh, clean and simple scent for any cosy bath - so if you're into a more simple, subtle scent than the sweetness of Candy Mountain I would definitely recommend! Again, I recommend crumbling half of him (if you can bear to break his cute little head off!!) under running water to create lots of soft bubbles and also a gorgeous blue, green coloured bath!

Peeping Santa Bubble Bar // Oh my gosh, what can I say about Peeping Santa?! I honestly believe that I got through at least 5 of these last Christmas because I just love him so much, he also makes me feel so festive and Christmas-y.. I need to stop! So Peeping Santa is basically 2 bubble bars sandwiched over a lot of cocoa and shea butter so you can imagine how moisturising this is for you... It also a fruit scent to it, mainly with hints of strawberry coming through, but with floral-ish scents mixed in there too.. it just smells so good, haha! Obviously after crumbling under running water this cutie turns your bath water red which makes for such a cosy bath to be honest, also all the shea and cocoa butter makes the water so soft and nourishing - your body will thank you, especially in the harsh cold of winter when we all need a little bit of a pamper! Lets be honest, I'll be buying more of these before Christmas, haha!

Snowie Bubble Bar // Another little festive cutie, I had a hunch that this one was David Bowie inspired and after researching a little bit I do believe that it is! I actually can't find many reviews of this one, so I don't know what colour this turns your bath so I am definitely excited to try it and see if the colour just stays as a simple white or if there's any hidden surprise there! The scent is definitely bright and fresh, with tangy grapefruit and neroli oil being the main hints - it's kind a simple bubble bar but it's definitely something unique as grapefruit is a less commonly used scent for lush,  I definitely can't wait to get cosy in this fruity and slightly floral scented bath!

Santasaurus Reusable Bubble Bar // This is in my opinion one of the cutest lush products I have ever seen, I mean come on, it's a dinosaur in a santa hat - not very festive, but I'm willing to look past it! The scent really does remind me of Honey I Washed The Kids but with something else added to it - it's very much sweet and caramel-y, with a bit of a honey but also citrus?! I kind of love this scent because it's different, it's got the caramel smell to it which gives it something else that most bubble bars don't have... Basically I'm the worst at describing scents.. so there you go, haha! But what's not to love about a dinosaur wearing a santa hat?! This one turns your bath water green, which is something a little bit different! I feel like most of the bubble bars I tend to use turn my bath water a more natural, orange or subtle pink colour so I can't wait for something new with this one! This one is obviously a reusable bubble bar, which means that it comes on a stick, the thing lush recommends with those is that you swirl them into your bath water which personally I don't tend to do sort of because I'm scared that it's going to fall off into my bath which has happened before! But mainly because you can get so so many more bubbles if you hold this under running water instead - obviously it's also reusable and I normally get around 3 baths out of one of these, so take my recommendation!!

The Magic Of Christmas Reusable Bubble Bar // I've saved the most festive one for last! I actually feel like all the other bubble bars I have bought are kind of all-year-round sort of products (if they weren't Christmas limited edition, haha!) like the scents aren't too festive or winter based, definitely unlike The Magic of Christmas - this one is super festive and I love it to bits! As you may be able to tell by the lovely cinnamon stick this one definitely goes down the spicy, cosy route with hints of clove, cinnamon and orange oil this has such a warm and comforting smell that to me, smells like what Christmas is all about! After holding this bubble wand under running water your bath will be lovely and orange and there may also be bits of cinnamon and clove floating about which just adds to the comfort and the warmth of your bath! As you can tell, I'm very excited about this one and I have missed it so much, haha!

  2. Ever since I discovered Lush even existed, I knew I really wanted to try the Magic of Christmas bubble bar! I've heard only amazing things about it, and I have smelled it in shop too, only I never had any cash on me. Peeping Santa is another one I really want to try, and hopefully I can get my hands on both of these this year. Are they released in stores? My Lushie usually is pretty late with new collections, and I wanted to ask before I went in with a wad of cash and no festivity, haha! Love the photos xx

  5. Autumn and Winter time is the perfect time for baths I think! there is nothing better than coming home from the chilly outside to enjoy a festive bath! I just picked up all their autumn range so don't think my bank can handle the christmas range (just yet...). I haven't seen a lot of people buying the Snowie Bubble Bar but he's so cute! Definitely one for me! Peeping Santa was one of my all time favourites. The Magic of Christmas was too as I love all things cinnamon and this was just so pretty! xx

  7. Oh gosh I adore the christmas range! I work there now over christmas so I get can get my hands on all the goodies if I need too, I've bought so many already!

You need to get your hands on the sleepy body lotion and the snow fairy body conditioner, they're seriously under rated and I think you'll love them!
