The Things I Love About Autumn

Get out your cinnamon scented candles and put on your oversized, chunky knit scarf because it is officially starting to feel like Autumn... Believe it or not I am actually loving the fact that it's starting to get a little colder now because it genuinely feels so Autumnal out there, the leaves are starting to go brown and gah, I love it! As you may be able to tell by my over-enthusiasm towards a bloody season... Autumn is by far my favourite time of year and there are so many things I love about it so I thought I would share a few for this little post so we can all get super excited whilst we get cosy with a hot chocolate and watch Hocus Pocus! You don't understand the joy it actually gave me to go on this cute little Autumn walk with Ethan though... Obviously it was purely for my blog and we HAD to go just to get some photos of crunchy Autumn leaves lol... but oh my lord did it make me feel so Autumn-y and festive! Right, so here they are, my favourite things about Autumn. Let me know if you love any of these things too and also comment if I've missed anything else that you love!

1. COSY BATHS // Need I say more... There is nothing I like more on a cold Autumn day than running myself a warm bath and popping in a Lush Christmas bath product! I mean obviously I love a bath at every time of year, but I SERIOUSLY love them in Autumn, when all the bubble bars smell like cinnamon and spice and my house is usually pretty cold! (because my boyfriend never gets cold.. *rolls eyes*) I was saying in my Lush Christmas haul that my skin always feels so pampered and nourished in Autumn because I literally spend every waking hour in a cosy bath and to be honest my skin usually does need it during the colder months of the year since it gets tends to get quite dry - so if you also suffer from dry skin I could not recommend a Lush bath more, your skin will thank you! My favourite thing to do in the bath is either watch some vlogs on YouTube (honestly I've started watching everyones Vlogmasses again.. shh don't tell!) or I sometimes like to sit and listen to Podcasts instead - definitely with some Autumn candles lit to just add to that cosy mood!

2. CANDLES // In my candle collection Autumn candles are deffinitely a winner, I have way too many of them and they all smell amazing! There's just something about a cinnmon or a spice scented candle that I love and after our little trip to Homesense I have anbsolutely fallen in love with pumpkin scented candles so those are also slowly taking over too...oops! Autumn scents just make me feel so cosy and warm and are the perfect addition to any snug night in with a hot chocolate and blankets!

3. WRAPPING UP IN LAYERS // As a fairly lazy person when it comes to fashion I much prefer chucking on a pair of jeans and a top and throwing a nice, snug coat on top with a chunky, oversized scarf - it really is a lazy girls perfect outfit, which is why I really do love the cold weather once Autumn hits! Chunky knitt scarfs are also a bit of a guilty pleasure for me so I do own a fair few... haha! Also, you seriously can't beat wrapping up and feeling warm on a cold Autumn day with a little beanie on and boots! I just love it so much!

4. HALLOWEEN AND BONFIRE NIGHT! // I don't know if this is just me (because I'm secretly a child at heart!) but there's just something about halloween and bonfire night that gets me so excited! Obviously I don't go out trick or treating anymore but I still seriously enjoy dressing up for a night out on Halloween and being all creative with deciding what I'm going to dress up as and that, haha.. am I child? Probably, yes. Bonfire night is also something that I really love every year, wrapping up warm with my hot dog, watching fireworks makes me feel so festive and cosy, I love it!

5. HEART-WARMING COMFORT MEALS! // We have now definitely broken back out the slow cooker because I absolutely love cooking warm, comfortable meals in the colder months! I love making things like chicken and sausage casserole, stews and huge roast dinners.. basically just all the things that are too warm to eat in the summer time! There's nothing better than the smell of a stew cooking all day long on an cold Autumn day! Speaking of which, we are definitely having a chicken casserole this week, I can't wait!
