Picture Perfect | My Picture Collage Wall

After three months of blank bedroom walls (who am I kidding our entire house has blank walls right now... apparently we're both too busy to put up a few pictures.. just don't question it!) I finally made Ethan get out his tools and put up the picture wall (I have zero DIY skills, so...) I've been dying to get up since we went to Brighton and bought the first couple of pictures for it. (that was back in July... like seriously?! - you can read the post where I did a haul of some of those pictures here) Well, it's FINALLY up and I posted a little picture of it on my Twitter and people seemed to like it! So I've decided to do a little post about my picture wall - a tour if ya like, where I tell you a little bit about each print and let you know where I bought them.. blah! I really love it and I'm so happy with the way it turned out.. I just keep staring at it every time I walk past, it's kind of creepy actually! But I hope you like it too and find this post interesting, there's a little story that goes with most of these to be honest - so hopefully this post will actually be a bit interesting at least, haha, it also means that not only does the wall look really cute but I also get reminded of some of the cute memories too! Let me know what your favourite picture is in the comments below and I hope you enjoy!

(I've tried to include at least one picture of each so you should get to see everything!)

E & J WOODEN LETTERS // So the lovely letters in middle of the wall are actually from Matalan, they we're kind of a random purchase since we had initially decided to just stick with normal framed prints for the wall but I'm so glad that we did actually end up buying them and putting them up there since they give the wall some interest and just give it that extra something! Obviously we got an E & a J for both of our names and we actually ended up buying the J on it's own first because we went to our local Matalan and bought it.. unfortunately they didn't have an E's sorry Ethan, haha! So I surprised him and bought one online as a little present lol! But yeah, if you're thinking of doing your own picture wall I think these are such a good idea to bring a little something different to the wall, obviously they have every letter and also '&' and you could even spell out a word if you're feeling it!

DOUGHNUT PRINT + ICE-CREAM PRINT // These 2 pretty pink pictures are from notonthehighstreet.com which is an AMAZING website that I absolutely love buying things from... /browsing for hours and never actually buying anything, haha! To be honest it's like a cheaper version of Etsy I suppose, they have so many cute bits from photo prints, jewellery and candles, they are so good for Christmas too, I definitely get the majority of my Christmas presents on there! (wow, #notspon...even though it seriously sounds like it, haha!) Anyways, I got both of these 2 prints from a shop on notonthehighstreet called The Motivated Type who are so talented and sell some really cute prints, they don't just do food pictures either, they do a lot of quotes too! (of course I went for the food.. haha!)

2X QUOTE PRINTS // These ones are again from our little trip to Brighton! As I mention in this post they are from a little shop on the seafront which I still don't know the name of, haha! I actually initially bought them to send as cards but I'm completely selfish and loved them so much that I had to keep them for myself, haha! But yeah, I love the fact that when I look at these I remember our cute trip to Brighton, it was seriously a highlight of my Summer walking round the lanes and going in all the shops along the seafront swooning over all the gorgeous, expensive prints and paintings! These prints again obviously speak to me, especially the cake one - it might actually be one of my favourite quotes, haha!

SUNSHINE WOODEN PLAQUE // I've actually had this cute plaque for 3 years now so it definitely has some memories! I actually bought this initially before I started University to make my uni bedroom more homely... it didn't work, my uni bedroom was never homely, haha! But regardless, it's a gorgeous little plaque and I LOVE the quote/song on it - super cute! After living in my gross Uni bedroom for it year it moved with me into the flat and spent a year on my vanity table looking cute and now it's up on my wall! I believe I got it from Etsy but I have no idea what shop since it was 3 years ago, but yeah I'm so glad we decided to pop it up there since it brings a little dimension to the wall instead of just having flat pictures and quotes!

LEAF PRINT + CACTUS PRINT // These two prints are also from notonthehighstreet.com and from the lovely shop The Motivated Type, I obvoiously did a lot of browsing through the many many prints you can find from so many different shops on the website, but since I'm so bad with choosing what looks good and what would match I decided to buy all of the picture prints from the same shop - that way they are all drawn in the same style and all looks somewhat similar! I'm so glad I did it this way to be honest, it just means that every thing works well together and actually looks good! I love both of these prints they are so gorgeous and I particularly love the green as it brings in a bit of colour without clashing with the pink!

LIFE IS LOVELY MINI PLAQUE // This little cutie is actually from my local Primark! I always always, without fail look in the home ware section of Primark because there's always a little gem that I end up falling in love with and inevitably end up buying - but it's so cheap, so why not, haha! I've seriously been loving the home ware recently actually, especially Gabby's (velvetghost from YouTube) range that she's recently bought out - I actually need to get my bum into Primark and get the cute glass cat mug, I want to store my makeup brushes in it! But yeah, I bought this little plaque a few months ago now so I doubt it's in Primark anymore but they always have some really cute prints in there - so if you're thinking of doing you're own picture wall I recommend Primark for cheap space fillers!

CAKE? PRINT // Now this one is a little special, me and my best friend Zoe are obviously very close but the worst thing about being University friends is that every Summer we have to be long distance friends since she goes back home to work, sad times! Last Summer we decided to be really old school and stay in touch by becoming each other's pen pals and sending letters to each other - we also both have an unhealthy obsession with cute cards, quotes and all things paper chase so part of the fun was just picking out which card top send, haha! This little 'cake?' print is actually a card from that Summer and I really love the fact that I have a little bit of Zoe up there.. obviously it was the card that spoke to me the most too... trust me there we're so many good ones to choose from!

MAN PRINT // This is one of the prints we bought back in July when we went to Brighton, he was actually the first ever picture we bought for the wall and where we even got the idea to do a picture wall in the first place! We got him from Tiger, which is another shop I love to bits (I won't even get into how much I love it...!) But yeah, every time I look at this man it makes me laugh so much, I've called him Barry because he definitely looks like a Barry to me and he definitely, without a doubt brings something else to the wall, haha! Ethan thinks he looks a bit like a frog which I must admit I'm beginning to agree with!
