Struggles All Bloggers Will Understand

I'm finally writing another struggles post, woo! I love writing these because not only are they super fun to write I know how fun they are to read and relate to - this one is probably going to be a very relatable one too, since I believe that most of my audience are fellow bloggers. Yes, today I'm going to talk about all the struggles we go through as bloggers, because it's not all Lush baths, picture perfect decor placed on our super fancy marble dining tables or beautiful hot chocolates with all the trimmings... as much as we like to pretend! We do definitely go through our fair share of struggles as bloggers even if people like to think it's as simple as writing some words and pressing 'publish' - we know there's so much more to it than that and whether you're just starting out as a newbie blogger or you've been doing it for years I'm sure you can relate to these! Let me know if you do relate to any of these struggles in the comments below and feel free to add your own, since I'm sure I've missed loads!

1. ONE WORD - UNFOLLOWERS. // No, you're right it's not all about followers at all and that's something you have to come to grips with as a blogger or social media influence. However, it is definitely natural to feel discouraged when a post doesn't get as many views as your usual ones do! You also can't deny that it's super annoying to gain 10 followers and lose 20 on an almost daily basis - this is something I'm definitely going through at the moment and you start to think that you must be doing something wrong.. you're probably not, by the way!

2. WRITERS BLOCK // This happens to me quite a lot to be honest, I have a really good idea for a post or a good title but then I sit down to actually write the bulk of the post and I have nothing - I just sit there with a blank page, ready to write and nothing happens! On the other hand thinking of new and original blog post ideas can be quite difficult, I must admit I'm definitely a lover of following the trends when it comes to blog posts and that's fine as long as you put your own little twist on them, I don't see anything wrong with it. But I do sometimes like to try and come up with new ideas I've never seen before and this can be so difficult since there are so many ideas already out there! I'm sure loads of you can relate to this too.

3. WINTER LIGHTING // This is a struggle I am super fed up with now, as it's that time of year where the lighting is only good for like 3 hours in the day and I have to genuinely plan my day around the lighting if I know I need to take some new blog photos that day. It's getting a bit annoying now and as much as I love cuddling up in the winter I have to admit I'm looking forward to summer, if only for the lighting! All I can say though is, thank God for editing - I can instantly brighten up a photo taken on a dreary day.. which happens a lot here in the UK! Whilst on the subject of photography, it can be so difficult to think of things to take pictures of too, the picture for this post too way longer to take than I would like to admit...

4. PRIORITISING // This is a difficult one for me, since I have to balance uni work, blogging and working part time - it can difficult at times and I'm sure there's loads more of us out there trying to balance all of this too! My schedule is pretty packed most of the time and it can be really difficult to prioritise my time. This kind of goes hand-in-hand with the winter lighting struggle too, because the lighting tends to be at it's best when a lot of bloggers are at work. (I'm quite lucky since I start a 6am and that means I tend to finish a lot earlier than most but still.. I feel you!) My prioritising is shocking though, I mean right now I'm supposed to be writing an essay and I've sneakily closed that tab and opened up blogger - perfect student, haha! I also have loads of draft posts ready to be published, which is something that happens when I have assignments to write... at least I'm doing something beneficial I suppose!

  4. Loved this, like you said it's so relatable reading this because if someone hasn't gone through any of this I think they are magic!! I go through phases of thinking of 5+ posts then the next day I won't have any idea!

I also really don't enjoy that whole follow/unfollow thing that seems to be a hobby for people :D

  6. Oh, unfollowers are so discouraging! But even though I think there's come a point when it's more important if what you're doing if what you love, although it may not get the views you wanted.

    1. Definitely :) Views are just that extra motivation but at the end of the day, if you are passionate about what you're writing that's all that matters! x

  8. Winter lighting is the worst! I have to take all my blog photos on weekends, as when I leave for work in the morning it's dark and when I get home from work it's dark! As much as I love winter it's a pain in the ass for blogging.

  12. I only started blogging at the beginning of January, and I'm terrified of getting writers block haha! I've been reading books upon books, so that I'm full of ideas. I hate that people follow to unfollow, it makes me so sad x

    1. If you do get to that point I always find that popping over to Bloglovin and having a read of other people's posts tends to inspire me if I run out of ideas, hopefully you don't run out anytime soon though! :) x

  14. Completely agree with these, I should be writing blog posts right now but I'm watching Agents of Shield (oops). Winter Lighting is a nightmare, but thankfully spring is on its way. Unfollowers drive me absolutely crazy, If they're just going to unfollow me I'd rather they didn't bother following in the first place. HAYLEY || Echo Luna Luxe
