Things To Look Forward To In 2017

Although new years give me a little bit of anxiety and I know I also run the risk of sounding completely cliche but 2017 is a fresh start. Although I really don't like to set myself new years resolutions (because of the anixiety bit..) there are tonnes of things that I have to look forward to this year and I decided that today I want to share those things with you lot! Thinking about it, I actually have quite a packed year ahead of me including turning 21 which is actually quite a scary thought to be honest... oh god. It's safe to say though that so far 2017 has gone a million times better than 2016... I think we can all say that to be honest and we can make this our year. (ew... cringing at my cliche-ness..)  I'm sure we all have so many things to look forward to this year, so I hope you enjoy this little post and feel free to share your own things to look forward to in the comments below - I would love to read them.. especially if any of you have any nice holidays planned, so I can read all about them and get insanely jealous...

FINALLY BUYING A DINING TABLE... // Oh god, that is probably the most adult thing I've ever said and I can't believe that I'm actually getting really excited about buying a freaking dining table.. but hey ho. Yes, I'm excited about finally buying a dining table, I actually have one in mind that I want to get from John Lewis and as you can probably tell it's not the cheapest thing in the world. So basically I'm vowing to save up all my pennies for as long as it takes until I can finally buy my dining table so that we no longer have to eat off our laps - the struggle is real!

HANDING IN MY DISSERTATION // Probably a bit more of an exciting thing to look forward to is finally handing in my dissertation... and although the thought seriously scares me now, since I've hardly written much yet I can imagine it's going to be such an amazing moment when it happens! I literally can't wait to just not have to worry about it anymore, because it's ALWAYS there in the back of my mind and I just can't relax!

GRADUATION // Yes, this one is genuinely scary to say out loud. I'm actually graduating this year... well if things go to plan! I can't believe that in July I will have finally finished three years at University, it genuinely only feels like I've been here a few months - the quickest three years of my life, seriously! And it's been super tough but I am proud of myself for getting through it. I don't know whether I'm looking forward to graduating yet though because although I won't have all the stress of assignments it also means no more student loans and off out into the scary world of work..gah.

NO MORE ASSIGNMENTS! // One amazing thing that does come out of graduating is the fact that I will have no more assignments! I CANNOT WAIT for the day when I finally hand in my last assignment (my dissertation...) and I never have to write another essay! Well... that is until I go back and do my PGCE the following year.. at least I'll have a year of no assignments - that's definitely something to look forward to!

TONNES MORE BLOGGING // I'm seriously loving blogging at the moment and I know that this isn't going to change in 2017 so expect tonnes more posts! I can't believe that my blog will turn two this year and I say it every time I get sentimental but I seriously didn't even predict that I'd stick it out for this long.. so that's a huge achievement for me! I definitely hope to up my blogging game this year and do loads more collaborations with brands - so expect good things!

  10. Aww I'm loving your list! Buying a dining table is such an adult thing to say. :P That is legit the reaction I've had this year when I've gone around saying how I need to buy four new windows. :P

I also need to do a shit load more blogging! :P
