Things I've Been Loving Lately | #3

Having neglected my blog for a little while I've actually really missed doing these posts because I do really love sharing and recommending all the little bits I've been obsessed with for the past few months... I've actually collected quite a stock of bits to share (I've had to narrow it down to the best bits so this post isn't boring-ly long...) so grab some snacks and get ready for a long(ish) read, haha! But yeah, I feel like I've forgotten how to ramble for my post intro's since I've been gone... so, how is everyone? Are you enjoying the lovely weather? I definitely am - we actually finally got around to weeding the garden yesterday (it was a literal jungle out there..) and now I can't wait to get out there and get the barbecue going! I also took the new sunny season as a chance to change my coffee table around since I was getting pretty bored of the old set-up and I have to say I'm really loving it now.. which is why it made a little appearance as the photo for this post, haha! As much as I don't want to wish Summer away I have to admit I always look forward to Autumn though, mainly because I have so many cute ornaments and coffee table decor to put up everywhere.. exciting!  Anyways, I hope you all enjoy the post, and as always be sure to let me know what you've been loving lately or if you like any of the bits I've shared in the comments below!

HUGE ASS MUG - DUNELM // If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I love a big mug of coffee, haha! My entire mug collection now consists of larger than average mugs and I love it! So when I saw this huge ass mug in Dunelm I knew I had to add it to my collection and now it's definitely the biggest one I own - honestly when it's full it can be quite difficult to lift with one hand.. that's when you know it's big! (It's the mug in the photo above if you're interested, haha! But yeah, there's not really much to say about a mug other than the size is spot on for my perfect cup of coffee and I actually really love this colour.. it was basically made for me!

INDEPENDENT EYELINER - LUSH // It's no secret that I'm obsessed with Lush and we all know that I'm obsessed with their bath products and I'm constantly buying new bubble bars and bath bombs! But I hardly ever branch out beyond the bath stuff (other than their Big shampoo or a few of their face masks) so after a recommendation from a friend who really loves their makeup I decided to try out their eyeliner. I decided to go for the independent eyeliner since that one is the jet black colour, but they definitely have a whole range of colours if you're interested! The one thing that I really love about this eyeliner is the adorable little bottle that it comes in, definitely very different to the usual pencil style eyeliners I'm used to - it did mean that it took a little longer to get used to it though and I found that the actual brush is quite short so it can be quite difficult in the beginning.. but practice has definitely made perfect and now I find it easier than a normal eyeliner. The product itself is also amazing, the colour comes out true jet black and lasts all day long... even on watery eyes, as I tested out, haha!

MAGNETISED EP - EMMA BLACKERY // My neighbours are probably really fed up with me for the past few months because I've been obsessed with Emma Blackery and I've had her new Magnetised EP (well.. the two songs that have been released so far) on constant repeat, haha! I'm especially obsessed with Nothing Without You and if you haven't heard it already you definitely should go and give it a listen now.. it's the perfect dance-around-the-house-while-you-spring-clean song, haha! I'm impatiently waiting for tomorrow because the rest of the EP comes out and I'll be able to listen to more than two songs - I actually managed to get my hands on a signed vinyl so I'm super excited for that! But yeah, I'm very obsessed - so obsessed in fact that we're actually going to see her in London on June 4th and I can't wait any longer!

GEL NAIL BITS // One thing I've always disliked about myself if the fact that I have ridiculously brittle nails... they're constantly breaking and I can barely grow them to a decent length before they end up breaking, it's very annoying! So after watching a ridiculous amount of nails videos on YouTube (I'm looking at you Nail Career Education and simplynailogical, haha!) I decided to get myself a little gel nails starter kit (a very cheap lamp, base coat, top coat and few colours) and have a little go at doing my own gel nails. It's been around 5 weeks since I first started using my little kit and now that I've gotten the hang of applying the gel polish I love everything about it! I actually really enjoy just using the base coat and top coat together to give me natural shiny nails and I've found that I only need to top them up one a week. Obviously I know this is only a temporary solution to my brittle nails and it's not actually strengthening the nail, but they have grown to a decent length without breaking and I can finally shape them to look decent - thank god!

  1. Nothing without you. I love that song.

  2. Love this post! Big mugs are the absolute best and I’ll have to check out that EP cause 'dance-around-the-house-while-you-spring-clean’ is literally one of my favourite things to do! :)

  3. Oh man my entire family are obsessed with big mugs, we have 'tea cups' that are like little soup bowls :p

  4. Quite an unusual mug design but I love the look of it! Also my motto is the bigger the mug the better.. I like to have two normal cups of tea fit in one mug haha
