July Book Haul 2017 | TBR

I'm not going to lie, I have seriously had a whole new lease of life when it comes to reading and books recently and ever since finishing uni I've pretty much read non-stop - which is pretty new for me! I am seriously enjoying it though, especially since I've recently made myself a Goodreads account and I'm steadily working toward my reading goal of 40 books for 2017... we should be friends on Goodreads if we aren't already by the way - I'm always looking for new books to read and I would love you recommendations, you can find me here! I have to admit, I've been reading so much lately, that this post is less of a TBR for July and more of a 'what-I-read-during-one-week-in-July' post, haha! But I wanted to share these books with you guys anyway and I'll try my best to review them... although book reviews have never been my strong point! Anyways, I hope you enjoy this post - you can also definitely look forward to more monthly TBR posts in the future since I'm enjoying reading so much recently. As always, let me know in the comments if you've read any of these books yourself and what you thought of them, I'd love to know!

Current Lush Collection #3 (+ I finally try Lush makeup!)

I'm back with another Lush post - and I couldn't be more excited! It seems like a lifetime since I wrote my last Lush haul.. and in all honesty it seems like forever since I even treated myself to a nice Lush bath... I know, I'm as shocked as you are! I have to admit something actually... this isn't really my 'current' collection at all and this haul was from quite a while ago... oops! So, whereas I usually write these hauls as more of a first impressions style post, everything has well and truly been used so it'll be more of a review (if I can even remember using these bath products - it's been a while! Mainly because 1: I plan my posts really far in advance and I was too lazy to re-jig everything to fit around this post. 2: I had only just done a collection post when I bought all this stuff (read it here!) and I was way too ashamed to reveal (/admit to myself, haha!) how quickly I used all of that up... and how quickly I went out and restocked 3: I could not wait to use it all so I took pictures as soon as possible and basically used everything within a week...oops! But yes anyway, here it is - my latest Lush haul. I hope you guys enjoy and as always be sure to let me know what you think in the comments below.. what's you favourite product out of the ones I'm about to share?!

Update #20 | I Graduated?!

Hello friends! I'm back from my little break - omg, it feels so good to be back! I know I know I say this every single time but I genuinely do miss blogging whenever I take breaks.. it really does completely mess up my routine when I'm not blogging every other day! Saying that, I have had a lovely time off though - I had so much time to catch up with family, chill out a bit and binge watch tonnes of episodes of Dance Moms, haha! But yeah, I thought I'd start off with a very important update since I only went and graduated last Thursday - ahh!! I still can't really believe it myself, I am no longer a student! The day was sort of a blur, but I have the pictures to prove it (including that one up there, of me being incredibly nervous about going up on stage to shake that man's hand in front of a whole hall of people, haha!) and I had a lovely day spent with my favourite people! As you'll know if you've read my latest series which was all about my university experience (you should read it here!) uni was a very huge experience for me and although I do feel like it has made me a stronger person I am so happy to be finally finished with it! I genuinely am so proud of myself for coming out the other side and I survived despite the times when I didn't believe that this would happen! Just the thought of 'what happens next?' scares me and I haven't got a definite answer to that question yet - but I'm happy where I am for now and I'm just enjoying my break from uni work and stress before I really get my head down and work out my next steps. But yes, I hope you guys all enjoyed this little update. I am planning tonnes of new posts for the future including a few summer holiday related posts coming up soon (I'm getting excited about my summer holiday!) and plenty of book hauls since I've got so much extra time to read so be sure to pop back for those! Also, congratulations to anyone else who has graduated or is about to graduate very soon, you should all be very proud of yourselves - feel free to also share your own graduation posts in the comments, I love reading them because I'm super nosey, haha!

My Festival Survival Kit | feat. chemist.co.uk*

Although I'm not big into festivals (in fact, I hate to admit I've never been!) we can all appreciate that summer is the time for people to hunt down their wellies and brave the rain... and the mud (or if they're lucky the sun!) because festival season is upon us! I suppose the main reason why I've never been is because of the camping.. I'm definitely no happy camper, especially not with our unpredictable British weather, haha! If I ever was convinced to brave the weather though, I know I'd be stuck for what to pack into my festival survival kit (how do you pack everything you need into a bag you can easily carry?!) so I was very happy when chemist.co.uk contacted me to review one of their festival packs they are offering on their website! These festival packs are brilliant, they include everything you could ever need to survive at a festival all in one place- even some things I would completely forget about! So I thought today I would share the bits I got in my pack and hopefully help anyone out there who's stuck for what to include in their festival survival kit (or anyone who needs some ideas for handbag essentials, because you never know when you'll need hair grips, plasters and makeup remover pads!) I also just wanted to mention that I am having to take a little break from blogging for a while after this post - I'm basically away for most of July visiting family (and graduating uni, ahh!) and I doubt there'll be much time for me to write posts whilst I'm away *sob*! So, no - I haven't fallen off the face of the earth and I will be back with new blog post on the 24th of July. (After I've officially got a degree, ahh!) If you want to keep up with me in the meantime though I will most likely still have time to tweet - so you can always find me over on twitter!

My Plans For This Summer | 2017

I wrote a little post like this last year where I talked all about the things I had planned for summer 2016 and whilst I failed to do many of the things on my list you guys seemed to enjoy it, so I've decided to do another one for 2017! Although I would love to start this post off by lusting over the gorgeous weather and talking all about how I've managed to catch a bit of a tan it seems like we've seen all of the good weather already and summer lasted a week for us here in the UK, haha! Saying that, I'm writing this well in advance on a very rainy day.. so who knows? It might be gorgeous-ly sunny by the time this post goes up. Let's hope so, because I have a whole list of summer activities to get through this year and I need that sunshine to make them more enjoyable! Last year, despite working too much I definitely made it my mission to get out in the sun as often as possible and that's definitely a mission I hope to achieve again this year.. at least to get a tan that isn't as streaky as it is now... I'm rocking patchy feet at the moment, woo! But yeah, let me know in the comments below what your plans are for this summer! I'd love some more ideas for how to keep myself entertained on my days off!

ASOS Wishlist | Summer 2017

blue leaf bikini | striped bikini | striped t-shirt | bird print swimsuit | sandals | skinny dip sunglasses | floral dress | embroidered swimsuit | pink sweatshirt | rose gold sunglasses | split skirt
I've been a little bit obsessed with reading ASOS wishlist posts and watching ASOS wishlist YouTube videos recently (I'm looking at you Lily Melrose!) so I decided why not share my own wishlist and show you guys some of the pieces that have been sitting in my ASOS saved items recently! We've actually just booked a holiday for August which I am super excited about and even though we're only going to Wales I'm counting on nice weather so you can imagine I've been spending a lot of time browsing the summer clothes a lot recently on ASOS- along with the fact we've had a heat wave recently here in the UK, I've been lusting over so many dresses and swimsuits.. I've definitely piled up a hefty wishlist! I have to say this post did actually take a lot of will power and I had to be really careful not to accidentally move some of these pieces into my basket and accidentally press checkout... lol But yeah, let me know in the comment if you like the look of any of the things I mention and also tell me what's on you ASOS wishlist, I'd love to know!

Fresh Strawberry Eton Mess

I'd love to be able to say that summer is well and truly upon us now but as I'm writing this it is well and truly pouring it down outside and I'm snuggled up under a blanket! I don't want to admit it but I think our summer has been and gone here in the UK and we've had our week of nice weather, haha! But still, that won't stop me from feeling super summer-y and enjoying all the delicious summer treats that I love! Eton mess is definitely up there as one of my favourite desserts, but in the summer it reaches a whole new level of delicious - especially when you use juicy fresh strawberries and it works well for me because the promise of a delicious desert is the only way to get Ethan to go strawberry picking with me!  So, not only is Eton mess super delicious and refreshing for a summer's day, its ridiculously easy to make - I know you probably don't need a recipe to follow but I've decided to write this post anyway, just in case. Also, as I've never had any luck with meringues I've opted for the easier pre-made option.. but you can 100% make your own, if you're feeling brave! But yeah, I hope you enjoy this short little post and let me know in the comments if you make your own eton mess and also feel free to share your own summer recipes - I'd love to hear your suggestions of what I should bake this summer!
