Book Wishlist #1

As you'll know if you've seen my recent TBR for July I've been seriously into reading recently, and although I've spent so much on books recently in order to keep up with all the books I'm finishing - I'm constantly browsing Goodreads and adding new books to my TBR and my book wishlist is always getting longer and longer! Anyway, my wishlist is getting a little out of hand, so I thought it was about time I shared it with you lot... you know, in case the book gods are watching and want to gift me with any new lovely books, haha! No, I'm joking (maybe..) I really just wanted to share some of the books I look forward to reading in the future and also getting recommendations from you guys too (please do share them in the comments!) Hopefully a lot of these will make it onto a future TBR since I'm sure I'll treat myself to some new books soon.. I can't help myself! But yes, if you want to see more updates on my wishlist or if you want to know what I'm currently reading you should follow me on Goodreads - we can be buddies over there!

Murder On The Orient Express - Agatha Christie | The Smell Of Other People's Houses - Bonnie-Sue Hitchcock | The Husband's Secret - Lianne Moriarty | The Unbecoming Of Mara Dyer - Michelle Hodkin | Everything Leads To You - Nina LaCour | Unearthly Things - Michelle Gagnon | Sharp Objects - Gillian Flynn | Dark Places - Gillian Flynn | Her Every Fear - Peter Swanson | The Kind Worth Killing - Peter Swanson | In A Dark, Dark Wood - Ruth Ware | To All The Boys I've Loved Before - Jenny Han

It's no secret that I love a good thriller so it's no surprise that a fair few thrillers have made their way onto this list; first up, I definitely need to get around to purchasing more Gillian Flynn books in particular, because I read Gone Girl a really long time ago and absolutely loved everything about it, particularly Gillian Flynn's writing style! So I 100% know I want to read Dark Places and Sharp Objects and if they're anywhere near as good as Gone Girl I'll be happy! The Mara Dyer series has also made it onto my wishlist, mainly because I've never found a series that I really want to read (I've found that series' tend to be reserved for fantasy books which I'm not a huge fan of.. a whilst this one is still technically fantasy, it has a paranormal and thriller element which I'm hoping will make it more enjoyable for me!) but basically I really want to get stuck into a good series and I've heard some really amazing things about these books! The Husband's Secret by Lianne Moriarty also had to make it onto my wishlist too - although I've heard mixed reviews about her books, and some people really don't like them at all..  I recently finished her book Truly, Madly, Guilty and I genuinely couldn't put it down, so I know I definitely want to make my way through her books! I also couldn't miss out Agatha Christie, after reading And Then There Were None and being pleasantly surprised I know I want to read more of her amazing mysteries!

I also made sure to include a few contemporary books in there too (you have to break up the thriller sometimes, you know!) no actually, I've been really enjoying contemporary books recently - particularly young adult/contemporary books as it's quite refreshing to read something light and easy every now and again! The Smell Of Other People's Houses is one YA Contemporary which completely intrigues me, and I must admit I would definitely fall into the trap of buying this book purely for the cover and title.. I've heard some really good reviews too though! Everything Leads To You is another fluffy book I need to read, mainly because everyone says it's beautiful and because the cover is amazing, but yeah!

  1. I've only read the ones from Gillian Flynn and they are so so worth it. She has a way of writing that always surprise me and I never imagine what's coming! I haven't read the others but they sound amazing too! Hope you like them :)

  2. I LOVED the Mara Dyers series so I hope you do too, I think I'm also going to try and read some of these books in this list because they sound amazing!
